Service Hours

• All students who will receive their Confirmation are required to complete at least 30 hours of Community Service
• These hours may be completed in the parish, however, arrangements must be made through the Office of Religious Education.
• Community Service hours may be completed at any institution where the student is volunteering their time.
• For Community Service hours to be valid, no monetary compensation may be received.
• A Service Project which details the service hours must be completed and submitted to the Office of Religious Education.
• Service Projects must contain the following information:

• Name of Project

• Purpose of Project

• Participants

• Project Time Line

• Project Description

• Special Considerations

• Results

• Reflection

• Feed Back

• Service Hours and Project are due no later than the first week of April.
• Suggested Service Hours:

•    Nursing/respite home

•    Hospitals

•    Food drive for the poor and underprivileged

•    Toy drive

•    Tutoring (especially children with disabilities)

•    Assisting the handicap

•    Community clean-up
